Deer Crossing



Coonie was the kind of dog that would protect an injured bird and lick a grumpy old man in the face. So Marisa and I were surprised to see a deer staring intensely at our little friend from across a shallow creek. I snapped a couple of pictures before noticing the deer's reflection. Instantly, I was drawn to its painting-like qualities. I have always seen water reflections as alternative silent dimensions. As Coonie, Marisa and I walked the banks, the deer followed, allowing for more reflections. When the three of us moved away from the creek, the deer followed.
