There are days when barely a leaf twitches
by the force of winds
And yet high above me
I see long wispy streams of clouds
unraveling as if pulled
rather than pushed
towards that magical life-giving sun
I am troubled by how little time I spend
looking up or down, or out or in
Allowing my human world to dictate
when I can feel
and when I can be more than just a worker ant
So today I recommit myself
to inward, outward, upward, downward
and onward use of whatever time
I am able to make mine
